About North Road House

North Road House is a welcoming farm cottage located just a 5–7 minute walk from the harbour on beautiful Inishturk. Surrounded by island scenery and peaceful countryside, it offers a comfortable place to relax while exploring everything the island has to offer.

 

From the cottage, you can easily set out to discover nearby beaches, admire the famous sea stacks, unwind by the lake, or hike up to the lookout tower for panoramic views of the Atlantic. In the evening, guests often enjoy a visit to the island’s community centre restaurant and bar for food, music, and a taste of local life.

The Space

The private guest room features two single beds that can be arranged together for couples if preferred. Just beside the room is your own private bathroom with a shower, toilet, sink, and heater. Breakfast is included with your stay, and dinner may be available for an additional cost depending on availability.

Guest Access

North Road House is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the harbour. Pick-up from the harbour can also be arranged on request to make your arrival as smooth as possible.

Whether you’re visiting for hiking, island exploration, or simply a quiet escape, North Road House offers a warm and comfortable base during your stay on Inishturk.

Your Accomodation

The warm private room has 2 single beds that can be rearranged for the couple. Adjacent to your room, the dedicated private bathroom (shower, toilet, sink, towel warmer) will be at your disposal. Freshly cooked breakfast is included with the booking!

Dinner may be available for an additional fee.

Inishturk Island

Inishturk is a small beautiful island, 5km x 2.5km, located 9 miles (14.5km) off the west coast of Mayo. It rises boldly from the wild North Atlantic in wall-like cliffs to the northwest and steep hills to the north on which stands the ruins of the old signal tower 688 ft above sea level.

Getting Here

The main embarkation point to Inishturk is Roonagh Pier, near Louisburgh, Co. Mayo.
O'Grady's Ferries operate a daily service to the Island.
