Bell Tent Camping

Your Inishturk experience begins with a warm greeting on our pier. 
The glamping site is set in a natural stone Amphitheatre surroun
ded by the Atlantic ocean, we offer a relaxed environment to spend with friends & family. 

Our quality canvas bell tents include cosy coir matting, camp beds & bedding.
Individual picnic table & crockery/cutlery for each tent. 
On-site toilets, hot showers & electric outlets all included. 

Enjoy stunning views, food & entertainment at our local bar & restaurant.

This is a deluxe canvas bell tent with insulating cosy coir flooring and equipped with Quechua camp beds, sleeping bags & pillows. Each tent also includes unique tea-light chandeliers to create a relaxed ambience at night. For outdoor dining we supply picnic style camping table & chairs and crockery & cutlery. 

The site is located in the middle of the island surrounded by natural stony hills and a short walk from Tranaun; our Green Coast Awarded Beach. Enjoy a choice of looped walks for both the novice and experienced walker. 
The island is host to a plethora of flora & fauna including the rare & endangered Corncrake and Red-Neck Phalarope, we are also home to Puffins, Guillemots, Peregrine Falcons, Skuas and many others. 

For the more adventurous Inishturk is a fantastic location for trail-biking, swimming & pier jumping, fishing or you can enjoy a quiet evening dining on freshly caught lobster and a pint in our local restaurant. 

 

There is a courtesy pick-up/drop-off service between the site & the pier. 

The courtesy vehicle is wheelchair accessible.

Inishturk Island

Inishturk is a small beautiful island, 5km x 2.5km, located 9 miles (14.5km) off the west coast of Mayo. It rises boldly from the wild North Atlantic in wall-like cliffs to the northwest and steep hills to the north on which stands the ruins of the old signal tower 688 ft above sea level.

The main embarkation point to Inishturk is Roonagh Pier, near Louisburgh, Co. Mayo.
O'Grady's Ferries operate a daily service to the Island.
